I used to perform at these open mics back in the summer of 1997 while I was a chemistry undergrad at the UW Madison. This open-mic is outdoors on the Terrace at the Memorial Union. Come and grab a pitcher of ice-cold beer from the Rathskeller and listen to local musicians and students perform.

This is my first Farmers Market Show of 2005. This is a lovely market and a great way to spend a Sunday morning -- hopefully it won't rain!

My first ever show in Australia. I played four songs at this great open mic in the heart of Adelaide. The crowd was big and really encouraging. This is a great venue and an example of how open mics should be. I'd love to play there again one day. I played: "Blue-eyed boy", "To her door", "Saturday", and "One day I will get through to you".

I'm excited to be booked again at Elsie's (thanks Pete!), a cool bar in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Hopefully Craig and Alejandra will join me.

I have the honor of performing two showcases for the Rose Street House of Music at the First Annual Folk Alliance Region-West conference. I'm playing in a hotel room in the afternoon (3 pm) and late at night (1 am or something like that---I'll check!).

I will be performing again with the wonderful Craig Bender on piano. We have the honor of opening up for These Trees and Chase Frank. DiPiazza's is a really nice place to hang out and have dinner (map). I recommend the DiPiazza Combo Pizza --- an absolute must!

Also performing will be Michael Richard and Dan MacKenzie. Dan played after me the last time Craig and I played here. His songwriting and performing style are very Ani DiFranco-esque and his CD, "A Complete Unknown," is great.

I have the great pleasure of opening for The Sarah Stanley Band at the Cinema Bar (map) in Culver City--"LA's smallest honkytonk"! Craig will be joining me on piano again. Sarah has an awesome self-titled CD that is full of songs that make me think, "Why isn't she on the radio all the time and really famous?" And her shows are fun--I've seen her at the Cinema Bar a couple of times and clearly she enjoys performing there.

My first show in the Inland Empire! I'm on for two hours (8 to 10 pm). CK Cafe is located one block from Pomona College.

I got this gig at short notice. It was a hot day and I had no PA, but it was pretty successful. Lots of children dancing and/or transfixed on my playing! I hope to play a few more farmers market gigs soon.

This show will be just me performing solo with my guitar. Ground Zero is located on the south-east corner of the USC campus, in between Marks Hall, Trojan Hall, and Marks Tower.

Sorry for the short notice--I just found out about this on Friday night! I had fun playing on the stage behind the library last Sunday. It's great to finally have a community gathering like this in my neighborhood.

Another Farmers Market gig that I got at short notice. The market is located behind the West LA Public Library---conveniently about two blocks from where I live! It only started running last month and I'm happy to lend a hand to promote a community event in my neighborhood. I hope I can get up in time!

I met Dennis, a guy who books at the Farmers Market, at the bus stop the other day. We got to taking about my music, and he invited me to play some songs between the jazz band's sets! There was no time to promote, but it was a unique experience. I hope to play there again soon!
